Howdy! Welcome to the journey section of my blog. I wanted to take a second to share what this section of the blog is about. This section of the blog I am using to share all of my outdoor adventures whether it be fishing, hunting, hiking etc… I hope to develop a story here that one day I could look back and have a timeline of what I have done over the course of my life. Another reason for this section of the blog is that I always post pictures to the @leaky_waders_outfitters instagram page and I feel that for every picture or video I post, there is a story that is not being told to its full value. I just wanted to have a space where I could share my journey and my adventures in the outdoors.
- 11/7/19-11/13/19 Part 1This is a story that has been ten years in the making. When I was 13, I finally got my feet wet and got my hunting license. That fall was my first time ever bowhunting for whitetails. I remember it clear as day the first time I ever went out bow hunting. I fell asleep,Continue reading “11/7/19-11/13/19 Part 1”
- 10/31/19-11/6/19A duck hunting trip up in the Northeastern zone of New York. That’s what was on the docket list for this week. This was a trip that the whole Leaky Waders Outfitters crew has been planning for a while. Recently, it’s been tough to get all of us together at the same time. Since twoContinue reading “10/31/19-11/6/19”
- 10/24/19-10/30/19Alright here’s the lowdown on this week. It was pretty damn near uneventful and if anything was slightly aggravating. However, this week brings up two important points that I want to get off my chest. First of which is public land use between fellow hunters. Second, being an unwritten code between hunters (which I guessContinue reading “10/24/19-10/30/19”
- 10/17/19-10/23/19This week was the first week I ever hunted out of state. Over the weekend I made the trek down to Pennsylvania in a suburb outside of Philadelphia to do some small game hunting. On the target list for this weekend was squirrels and doves. Which I have never hunted doves before so it wasContinue reading “10/17/19-10/23/19”
- 10/9/19-10/16/19Almost losing the tip of my pointer finger was a great way to start this week. The plan for this week was to get out of Western New York and head to the Adirondacks for some waterfowl hunting, trout, and landlocked salmon fishing. My family has a little cabin in the mountains of the AdirondacksContinue reading “10/9/19-10/16/19”
- 10/2/19-10/9/19I said it last week and I’ll say it again this week but this week was one hell of a week. This week I finally got to accomplish something that I have been trying to accomplish for exactly a decade. This journey started ten years ago when I first got my hunting license and wasContinue reading “10/2/19-10/9/19”
- 9/25/19-10/2/19This week was one hell of a good week. My brother and I planned a salmon fishing trip a few weeks back to the tributaries of Lake Ontario. Fortunately for my brother and I, I live really close to the shores of Lake Ontario. I attend college in the area and in less than twoContinue reading “9/25/19-10/2/19”
